Dictionary.com defines an experiment as a test under controlled conditions that
is made to demonstrate a known truth. Our kitchen project was
a bit of an experiment in faithfulness. Looking at that big pile of dirt that
was once the kitchen floor (see photo 1), I'm sure there were some who thought
the kitchen would never be finished in time for the Fall Extravaganza. Under
Chuck Hefley's supervision and with the help of the many professionals involved,
as well as the Grace members who volunteered their services (see photo 2), the
kitchen was completed on schedule. But let's not forget the primary catalyst in
this experiment. (see photo 3) As you can see, the ladies had big plans for the
new kitchen and they were known to "encourage" Chuck from time to time. We
learned through this experiment that with careful planning, hard work and
the faith that God would provide for our needs, our kitchen was renovated. (see
photo 4)
